Information stored by the app
GoldCalc stores your preferences, calculation history, saved purchase records, and any photos you choose to attach locally on your device. This information is used to provide the app's features and is not uploaded to a GoldCalc account or database.
If you delete a record or remove the app, the associated local data may be removed according to iOS behavior and your device backup settings.
Metal price requests
GoldCalc connects to our price-data service to retrieve cached gold and silver prices and short-term market history. The app does not send your weights, margins, calculated offers, saved deal names, or photos with those requests.
Our infrastructure providers may process standard technical request information, such as an IP address, user agent, timestamps, and diagnostic data, to deliver and secure the service. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
Subscriptions and purchases
GoldCalc Pro purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process payment, transaction, and account information under its own privacy policy. GoldCalc receives the information needed to determine whether Pro features are active, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
Exports and sharing
When you export a PDF, CSV, JSON file, or photo, you choose where it goes using the iOS share interface. Once you share an export, its handling is governed by the destination you select. Review the destination before sharing a record that contains sensitive business information.
This website
The GoldCalc website does not use an advertising tracker or ask you to create an account. Its hosting infrastructure may process basic request information for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security. Operational logs are retained according to our hosting providers' normal schedules.
Children's privacy
GoldCalc is a business and finance utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as GoldCalc changes. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website when appropriate.
